The Capital...The Capitalism...Let's Party

96ce2008d61811e1bbaa22000a1e8b20_7I'm posting this picture with fond memories from my tour last summer with Alberta Cross and Everest.  It was the first time I'd ever played the Troubadour in Los Angeles, CA and I got to play it twice in the same night.  So much fun. Another first for me in the way of mentionable gigs will take place this week when I play at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC as part of ASCAP's Songwriters: The Next Generation concert series.  Mountain Stage's Larry Groce will host the evening and also conduct a short interview about songwriting with me.  Very excited about it.

After that, I'll head straight down to SXSW in Austin, Texas for three solo gigs and three gigs playing guitar with my band, BP Fallon & The Bandits.  Looking forward to all of them!  In April, I'm getting right back to work on my new solo record, "So Young, So High."  I'm also heading out on a brief tour playing guitar for Sylvain Sylvain of the NY Dolls and Glen Matlock of the Sex Pistols.  Should be a great run.

Hope to see you down the road.  Love, ALT

Ring it in with that sweet 14th street beat....

7019_543116732759_4330870_nI'll be spending my New Years Eve at Bowery Electric playing guitar with one of my guitar heroes and a true American treasure, the great Sylvain Sylvain.  Aside from his imperative contributions to those Rock'n'Roll heathens, The New York Dolls, Syl has made some really tremendous solo records and shines brightly as a songwriter in his own write, as Dr. Winston would have said.  It's going to be a wonderful evening, the great Kenny Aaronson on bass and the wonderful Thommy Price on drums.  Signing off with paper, pencil and glue...
